As the Procurement Officer of Amstrong Foundation Uganda, I believe that professional procurement is an important part of building efficient, transparent and competitive industries. Proper procurement ensures that resources are acquired at the right quality, quantity, price and time while maintaining accountability and value for money.
For Uganda, strengthening local procurement can also create opportunities for farmers, manufacturers, suppliers, transporters and SMEs. By linking local producers to industries, we can promote value addition, local manufacturing and domestic enterprise development.
